- 4 ounces or 1 individual package - Spaghetti or instant ramen
- 2 tablespoons - Creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon - Unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon, plus more for serving - Finely grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon - Soy sauce
- Step 1 In a large pot, bring water to a vigorous boil. Season with salt if using spaghetti. Add the noodles and cook according to their package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the cooking water, then drain the noodles thoroughly and return them to the pot. Turn off the heat to proceed with the sauce preparation.
- Step 2 Introduce the creamy peanut butter, unsalted butter, Parmesan, and soy sauce into the pot with the noodles. Stir the mixture vigorously for approximately one minute, adding the reserved cooking water gradually, a tablespoon or two at a time. Continue stirring until the sauce achieves a glossy consistency that elegantly clings to each strand of noodle. Taste and adjust with additional salt if necessary.
- Step 3 Transfer the noodles to a serving dish and sprinkle with additional grated Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
